Designing Our Space
What makes a teacher?
What makes an engineer?
It is important to consider identity, as this is often the way we see ourselves. So we reflected on what we believe it means to be a teacher, and an engineer. People often consider these roles in society with serious stereotyping.
We want to move past these stereotypes.
"We are reflective, and a bit outgoing, and we are some of the more vocal in our classes- so for us the activity was quite straight forward. We all easily put down what we think teachers look like, and quickly came up with an idea of engineers. There was some collaborating and sharing of ideas, a bit of a laugh at our primitive drawing skills, but we all made individual contributions."

The Mirror
In our mirror we see reflected what we are; every word above we used to describe ourselves and more.
We are experts in our fields of STEM, always striving to be greater and better. We look only to improve the world of STEM, inspiring others in our path.
But we are also feminine, and being interesed in Science, Technologies, Engineering or Mathematics does not change that at all.
